My good friend Hanna went to Woodcraft with me last weekend. She found an acrylic blank there that she absolutely fell in love with. It's called "Persian Blue", and I have to admit, it's got to be in the top ten prettiest blanks I've turned.

The kit she chose is the Graduate ballpoint, that I ordered from PSI. She wanted a thinner pen because they're easier for her to write with. But she didn't want one as thin as a slimline. I like the Graduate, because the lower section is 7mm, while the upper section is 3/8. This makes a pen with a thinner profile on the bottom, but a larger profile on top. It turned out very nice, if I do say so myself!

Very tidy indeed. Kit and blank work well together. Love the colours in the blank. Beautifully turned and finished too.

Jim the bloop of colour varies so much it has lots to see and love it reminds me of those oil filled tubes heated such variety. The pen is crafted suitable for a best friend even more so as its tailer made for her.

Peter.
