I've turned several Guardian Jr. pens from PSI, but this is my first full sized Guardian. It's huge! The body is 0.625" (18mm) diameter. Biggest pen I've ever made.

The first blank I drilled crooked, so I had to drill a second one. The big body doesn't leave much room for error!

Another very nicely turned pen, looks the biz :thumbs:

I haven't seen this kit previously but I think it could well grow on me

Nice piece of work that. I quite like the kit but not too sure about the size. I think I would need to see it in the hand so to speak.

My mother has arthritis and uses one of these. Yes it's big and ugly but she likes it because it's easy to hold. Your pen is very nice.

My mother also has arthritis, and I made her a Guardian Jr., which is only slightly smaller. The size and the rubber rings make it easier for her to hold.

Great looking pen Jim, :thumbs::thumbs:
The other blank trim it down and laminate a different colour on the build it up to the correct size.:thinks:

I hadn't thought of that. The Guardian Jr. is only slightly smaller (.555" vs. .625"), but it's small enough. I could make it for my sister, she's a fiend for anything red.

I used the blank I had drilled crooked for a Guardian Jr. It turned out nice. This one is for my sister, whose mantra is, "Red red, I like red. There's no substitute for red!
