Well, I have finally been able to complete my first pen that wasn't a slimline. Really enjoyed making this and am definitely keeping this for myself!

Jr Gent in Purpleheart, kits from TB, finished with Hut Crysal Coat. Apologies for the naff iPhone photos, was (and am) excited with the end result.

Hope you like it!

Coll

Thanks again guys, it's nice to know that I can produce something to impress other turners. :) If you guys like it then I am definitely a happy bunny! :)

Silver - I love my iPhone for quick photos, but, like every camera they will take a much better photo with decent light. I don't mean the flash either! I read the IAP thread that you posted earlier and it's really good. Most important thing (to me) is not necessarily the HDR element but the diffusion of the light. Of course, if I wasn't being lazy I would set up my light tent and lights, get the Canon EOS 20d and 50mm F1.8 prime lens and do some proper photos. Actually, I might still do that when I have time - Thursday or Friday next week! Far too busy enjoying the turning at the moment!

My pictures are only ever taken with an old Fuji camera with a few mega pixels to play with, I guess what they are trying to say is its lights rather than the camera..
