First off the new lathe

This is my first one off the new lathe, my first pencil, an my first round one too!

Not great, could be better, but it I a start. A least I haven't been frustrated with OOR!

A new finish for me too, a friction polish, with wood turners stick on top.

Made of maple, and thanks to Steven up here for the kit - it is one of the ones in that box you gave me.

Oh, it was also the first turned between centres, which is nice!

I like the pencil kit, I have just ordered up some slimline pencils and matching pens, try and recoup some cash for Christmas
