I think that looks a bit overexposed now Woody (the mangrove is much darker than your edited version) Maybe somewhere between that and the original would be spot on. There was nowt much wrong with the image in the first place. Maybe try looking at it on a full size screen Alex instead of using your phone. (or see an optometrist) :ave_it:

It is a nice pen to put together. The tubes are imperial sizes but if the correct drills are used they are a lovely sliding fit in the blanks.

The components are a good fit to the tubes with no sloppyness at all and the quality of the plating seems pretty good to me, but only time will tell with that really.

The nib unit is a decent quality one of German manufacture and the ink pump fits nice and positively into the nib unit which gives me confidence that it won't leak or come apart in use.

All in all a nice kit and I will definitely be in the market for some especially if the are the sort of price Dan is aiming for.

Sorry guys but it looks ugly (Not your turning Walter) it is the knobs/finial bits that just spoil what could be a nice pen

Like most things it could look better in the flesh

Thanks Walter, the finial looks better than I thought, it was just the angle, I know I will have some of these, but I am not convinced, hopefully in the flesh will change my thinking on it.

I will bow to your experience...but the nib looks like a Chinese made one to me.

The nib is a point of concern to me and Ed will correct me I am sure.
I am under the impression if it just says "Germany" it could be made anywhere, if it says "Made in Germany" then it has to be as stated.
Init?
