I think you should ask them Dan, as the general consensus on the IAP is that nibs marked Iridium Point Germany are chinese and it is the Iridium (although unlikely to be Iridium) that has been bought from Germany and welded to a Chinese nib. I have to say that I have some real German nibs, Bock and the Chinese nibs write as nice as the German ones. I have not had a single Chinese nib that has been scratchy or doesn't write well so I wouldn't worry about it.
