after turning, leave on the lathe for a few days for the colour to develop, then finish. purple heart is funny stuff.

I regard these two pens as consistent,well made and appealing. I agree with the comments on the colour retention, you chose two difficult timbers and made them conform so well Andrew.

thank you all for your compliments, I hope to improve the finish asap, but atm have limited materials....gotta get some carnuba and melamine.....:thinks:
