Very Nice Derek. Brodys blanks are spot on. I met him at Woody's get together yesterday he is a sound bloke. He brought some of his stock along with him and of course I couldn't resist. I have quite a collection of them now. I must get round to turning them instead of just admiring my stash !
I think that people don't get along with them as they try to take too much off at one time and then you get chipping but I like them as I have brought blanks of the same material from other sources and have had no problems with them except a couple of times like the matching one to this has now got a chip out of it after I had turned the pen but that was my fault and not the blank
I turned some Inlace blanks a while back and had trouble with chipping. I got round this by taking the corners off the blank on a disc sander once I had glued the tubes in. I do this with all the blanks I turn now and never had any problems
