Hi All

Just thought I would post this. For those of you who don’t know....novice turner here...!

Anyway today was another of my training days with a professional turner and I took along a bit of wood to ask can I do anything with this when I get better at this game...

Then from this ‘firewood’ to this....

Kevin:banana:

Would love comments but for me I just keep staring at it and smiling knowing “I made that!”

Half of turning is seeing inside pieces of wood and bringing out the grain. So from a very uninspiring piece a stand was produced for the tea light. Who was the turner that was teaching you

Great job by the way

I am taking lessons and am part of one of his 3 -1 groups with Andrew Hall near me here. So there are three of use that attend his place about four times a year. We are also all members of the Wear Valley Woodturning Club. It’s all great stuff lots of friendly advice.
