Here are two full Metal Jacket Bullet pens i have just completed. I have to say i enjoyed making these over kit pens. I did use tubes and refills from kits but on my next endeavour i want to get brass tubing in lengths and buy ballpoints separately.
I used mechanisms from Phil and they are superb, feel like quality item which they are over the mechanisms that come with a pen kits.

Nice job Ken. Did you spot the 10 inch lengths of 7mm tubes when you bought the mechanisms? I'm sure you know about the Cross style refills already.

Sounds good Les, let’s see some pictures when you have time.

On the .308's I leave a1/4" of tube sticking above the casing head and inset the tube 1/4"+ on the
casing head end of the top section.

They are very nice pens. I do prefer a coloured top section though, I also like to fit just the little spongy tip to use on a phone.
I was wondering if there was a twist action rollerball pen.

Thanks everyone about the pens. At the moment i am getting an aluminium collet type of holder for the bullets and a taper ( i hope) made to hold the finished lower assembly for polishing as i found this a little awkward on the lathe.
Ray i will contact you after the holidays. Having worked in Glenrothes i know how you Scots like to celebrate. :winking:
