A while ago I was asked to make a set of gavels & sounding blocks out of oak by Clive a friend of mine who is a blind ex guardsman. Last month when I was at Blind Veterans UK at Llandudno I took the gavels with me & Clive arranged to be there at the same time. He made an oak box helped by Andy the maintenance joiner & Nadia the arts & crafts instructor. In one of the photos yowuw see me, Clive & Andy, guess which one is Clive. The gavels are to raise funds for the Freemasons charities & Clive is going to raise the funds.

That's a lovely set of gavels:thumbs: what is the one in the middle is that a mallet or a wine glass without a stand, my favourite sort.

What an excellent set Bill:thumbs:, the box really looks nice as well. Can't even begin to imagine on how difficult that must have been to make for him.

Hope the fund raising went well.
