Follow up to the Ghost gum Ares, now in a Lignum Vitae box. What do you think?

Rather a challenging wood to work with, put traditional hinges on this, had to drill and use a self tapper screw to put a thread in the wood so I could get the screws in. mega hard but finished really nice.

I'm sure that timber gave you a bit of a challenge, but you have achieved a classy looking box for the pen.
Alan, it’s still giving me a challenge :sob:

After cutting and doing it on Sunday I took it out of the storage box to take some pics only to find it’s now got a ski sloped lid :rolling:

Seems even though the moisture content was below 10% and stored inside for the last 3 months has t helped it :sob:

So spent most of the morning warming it up and clamping it to try and get it back level.

Oh well, if not then I’m sure they could use it for training for the Winter Olympics :funny:
