Well, I’ve decided not to resurrect the workshop and give up on woodturning to concentrate on glass fusion. The future workshop boat is only big enough for on hobby or the other and I’m basically feeling guilty because the wife wanted to do the glass fusion, and so did I, so when we realised the boat wouldn’t accommodate both hobbies she said it can be my workshop. So it’s with regret I have decided to devote the boat to the glass hobby, and I think it’s some that will sell better than pens and give scope for so many different products from jewellery to plates and slumped bottles.

So, I’m going to be selling everything. At the moment everything is in storage and I need to get over there at some point and pull everything out to list and photograph it all. There’ll be, from memory, the Proedge, various turning tools, a Beale collet chuck, triple start taps and dies, pillar drill (free to a good home but pick up only), Charnwood dust extractor, various bowl blanks and pen blanks and other wood. My lathe may be spoken for but the person concerned isn’t ready for it so I may let it go. So watch this space over the coming weeks

Wish you ll the best Ray, I must admit the pull of penturning is waning for me lately. So many at it and the prices have dropped significantly and hope the glass fusion works out well for both of you..

I must get over to see you like I had planned when that white stuff came.

I will text you again see what time suits.. Be in touch.

Okay Eamonn. I’m home all day this Thursday if that’s any good. Just got a guy fitting fly screens at some point but you’re welcome if you’re free

That's a shame Ray, but the Glass Fusion thing does sound fun, and you'd both be able to partake eh! How's the ship building going btw?

I'd be interested in the Beall collet chuck depending on it's fitting.

Pro edge? I have one, but being intrinsically lazy I have always promised myself a second. Would be interested to know about that when you're ready Ray

Good luck for the future Ray. You never know you might set up a pole lathe where ever you moor up for the night so I would hang on to a couple of suitable gouges. Glass fusion is becoming very popular so hopefully there will be good sales to be made. Best Wishes on your travels around the waterways. Keep us all informed.
