Hi All,
I have been through quite a list of posts about Celtic Knots. I have taken in the ideas I need to cut the knot.
My problem now is 'what glue do I use'.
If using a couple of layers of metal I would use CA but would this be suitable for metal to wood ??
Same with plastic, I would use CA.
With metal to wood should I use epoxy ?
I really can't make up my mind. Anyone help ??

take care

Hi Don,

I use ca when I glue aluminium to wood, I make sure each face is well roughed up with coarse sandpaper and I allow 2 days for it to really set.

Same here, also if I am doing a layered celtic knot two dark wood or light with aluminium in between I clamp between greeseproof paper usually stolen from Mrs Bobs kitchen if I can get away with it as it makes it easy to clean up.

Don't bother stealing greasproof paper Bob just save the inside bags in cornflakes or most similar breakfast foods, been using it for years, works a treat!

Thanks Ted I am planning getting on the outside of a packet of crunchy nut cornflakes and slowly winning the battle. Pierre please stop teasing with the croissants.
