A few minor adjustments to the camera and I think I may have cracked it Brian !!!:thinks::thinks::thinks:
I hope so mate that sure is a nice one, as for the wood it does look a bit laburnum-ish more so than Burr Elm but would need to see it it he flesh.

The wood looks darker in the photo than in real life. As I say with a little more playing around with the camera I can get the final result as near perfect as possible.
This is all your fault Brian for criticising my photos in the early days !!!!! LOL :face::face::face:

Ha Ha It sure did work init?
Just because we have been playing with pics here is the xif for the pic in case you didn't know what you have done.

Aperture: f/4.7
Focal length: 24.0 (35mm film), 4.3 (lens)
Flash: Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
ISO speed: 100
Metering Mode: Center-weighted average
Date/Time: Thu, 24 April 2014 20:32:49

Not sure if you think this is an improvement but forgive for interfering I cropped it closer and resized it and raised the exposure a tad init?

You got it spot on Brian. One of my minor adjustments was to raise the exposure to +1. What does xif mean ????:thinks:
