hello folks

here is a new box i have made with a unusual timber called golden madrone, it comes from south east Asia and is a sub species of laurel.
its light in weight and difficult to cut cleanly but has an amazing 3d effect

George that is absolutely gorgeous. I think the two timbers go together really well and I do like the design.

I watched the Facebook post of the inner lid slowly settling into place after a gentle nudge. Quite impressive. Wonderful box George.
