The Hub City Turners, a local woodturning club I belong to, will have a display of turnings at a local mall. The theme is Green. I struggled for a while trying to come up with something so I decided to make a pen from Staghorn Sumac. It is a small tree that has green wood to varying degrees. The kit is a Canadiana kit that I've had for ages from William Wood-Write. Finish is Ca, buffed on a Beall buffing set in the lathe. The pictures taken in the light tent don't do the high shine justice. Oh well. Hope you like.

Pete

That’s very nice. All the Sumac I have used has been yellow, it is nice to see green. You have made a lovely job of that.
