GREVLLIA Striata/CASURINA Cunninghamiana

Never have found too much timber gathered with the correct name in isolated areas of the Northern Territory certainly Beef Wood is the common name for both. It is a firm favourite for me with the so definite Medullary Rays providing and great show as the pen is turned around. The amount of Silica shows as bright specs in the pictures.

Today Wilma and I released several square meters of rubbish. A stray female cat feral and all in one of my door open sheds so I bought a large kennel for her to relax i if she chooses she certainly socks away the food. We have lost out two doggies 14 yrs old and one of our two cats (brothers in the last three weeks. We emptied our back verandah that during the winter basks in sunlight so I will set up a bench and comfy chairs to use this space for glue ups and kits/ spacers etc. As I speak our large black cat has taken over my lap for the umteenth time today. He checks out the empty verandah built in when we had 9 cats one time..

Hello Peter

Yet again a lovely pen...... This reminds me of the wood you sent mne a few years ago. I made a pen and gave it as a present....,.I wish I could remember to whom now. I remember it turns verywell and finishes beautifully.

Hope you and Wilma had a reasonable Christmas given the current conditions. It's not too good in the SE of England at the moment.
