An order that I was commissioned to do for St Lukes Anglican School in my home town in Queensland,  Australia. They have just had a new auditorium build and the floor was imported American Maple and I was given offcuts of the flooring to make 50 pens.

There was a budget for the cost per pen, so I chose a Gun Metal Devin to contrast and compliment the American Maple.

A durable high gloss finish was requested so I used CA as the choice of finish and then polished with Kustom Grit 2 step polishing paste.

There isn't anything really spectacular colour or grain wise in the Maple except that the floor alone is worth 1 million ddollars.the first 10 pen will go to the principal of the school and others that were involved in the designing of the building. The other pen is a gift to the builder of the auditorium.
