Hi all, another Mistral from the Perazzi stock...
This time an oil stock finish, yes it dries hard, yes it's durable, no its bloody slow... 6 coats applied and very smooth but it's a coat a day before leaving the workshop! IMG_20211124_143958.jpg
Oh and it shows very dark!

“Lighten” up Mark, you’ll get a “barrel” of laughs from that gun stock.
Sorry, couldn’t help that.

Lovely job there Mark.I use finishing oil on bowls.Several coats give a nice deep shine but it is bloody slow, one coat per day,rub back, another coat etc etc.

Great work as usual Mark.

I love seeing this type of beautiful wood being re-used to make such high quality pens.

Kudos.

Cheers
Ash
