Hi all, another Mistral from the Perazzi stock...
This time an oil stock finish, yes it dries hard, yes it's durable, no its bloody slow... 6 coats applied and very smooth but it's a coat a day before leaving the workshop!
Oh and it shows very dark!

Patience of a saint with that finish but well worth it.

Lovely job there Mark.I use finishing oil on bowls.Several coats give a nice deep shine but it is bloody slow,one coat per day,rub back,another coat etc etc.

You stick too making pens and finishing the way you do already, man of your age can’t afford to wait 4 days to finish pens !
