I use a similar one to that they are good they do the job the only down fall is they retain moisture from your breathing and when you take them of the skin around your mouth is damp I only use mine when sanding or turning dusty wood I still prefer them to the full face mask and they are not as heavy as the ones that pump air around your face which I would go for if it wasn't for an old neck injury

I have a 3M one and find it indispensable when mixing polyester resin, I just can't breathe without one when I am anywhere near the resin, I use the filters for organic vapour and gasses. I also use it for woodturning and often have it around my neck having forgotten to replace it back on the face. They are really good.

I fancy trying on of the Trend face shields. Look a real good piece of kit but are a stack of cash :whistling: another item added to my wish list

I'm looking at buying the trend airshield pro for about £200. I've read some good reviews. Its not cheap but it's cheaper than new lungs or eyes!

I have one I bought from turners retreat, I cant remember the name of it but it's a bit like a disposable one but made of cloth
But you can wash it when it gets dirty and it doesn't steam your glasses up
I find it a lot more comfortable than the bigger masks.
Just had a look on there site and it doesn't have a name but if you type face mask into the search box it comes up
You can get them for different neck sizes and they are £30.76. Quite expensive but you never have to buy any filters

They are called a dust be gone mask I had one years ago they do eventually wear out but they also do the job

I used to use one all the time. I didn't realise you could get organic filters for them or would still be using it now.

I have a Trend Airshield Pro thanks to Brian persuading SWMBO I needed one. I don't use it all that much (I don't generate fine dust all that much) but when I do it does the job rather nicely. I got it at Axminster Basingstoke on an opening special - paid £140 for it! Only complaint is that it blows cold air all over my face, which in Winter makes my face unpleasantly cold!
