Just wondering if anyone has turned DENA wood. It must be one of the hardest woods around. If you want to practice sharpening gouges just use this wood. Gouges need plenty of sharpening every couple of minutes.

For your information

BLUE & ROYALS PEN
The wood for these hand turned pens come from the stables
of the Queen's Royal Horse Guards, the "Blue and Royals".
The wood is called Denya a hard wood from Africa, which is very
durable and excellent choice for a very busy stable.
Prince William and Prince Harry both joined the Blues and Royals in 2006.
