So my wife wanted a Bog Oak pen to add to her collection.

I didn't want the usual pens out there so with Mr Flexi's help we decided on an Havana, quite short and stubby, 4 different size bushes with opposite tapers.

Look better when posted.

Anyhow she got it for her birthday and loves it ...

I hate it, I don't like the look, I don't like the blank and it feels horrid in the hand.

Luckily because it's unique for the boss, I will never have to make another

What do you think ?

ps .. the little bit by the centre band must be glare, just checked and there's nothing on the pen

The design of the pen is great easy to use and small in overall length to carry. What a sweet feeling when the the boss is happy and satisfied, could not wish for more Brad.

Great handbag pen, but I agree it's not the most handsome. To my eye it looks better posted than it does capped because of the built in taper in the nib barrel - and I'm not sure I like the contrasting metals on the cap either I'm afraid. Nicely turned and photographed though, as always, and if the lady is happy then it's a great success.

Wow what a weird looking pen!!
Well made and finished.
Never seen anything like that, although I could smoke it.

Interesting!

Evening Brad,

Great finish and the black (dark brown) Bog Oak is in stark contrast to the bright metal work. A most unusual looking pen - could you post an image of the pen with out the cap and where did you get the kit from ( a quick search on line didn't reveal anything ). Always on the lookout for unusual pens.

Regards,

Chriscb
