I have just bought myself a 3M class 1 Series Full Face Mask, it is excellent except for one small thing. Sometimes i wear glasses like when i am sanding, this allows air to pass in and out of the mask and not the filters. Has anyone come across this problem. I am sure i have seen something that allows glasses to be worn with out these problems.

I wouldn't think there is a good solution to that problem really, I use the Air Ace and a face shield and that is enough for the amount I do..:thinks:

I have been trawling around this afternoon and may have come up with a solution, Pince Nez glasses. Those thing that perch on your nose with no arms, (no i will not post pictures when i get them.
They are on ebay and you can get them in different strengths just like the boots ones for reading.

I was going to suggest something like that Ken, but only if you posted pics to prove it..:funny:

Having experience of having to wear glasses to even see the bloody lathe I sympathise with the problem.

However there is no recognised "easy fix" for the problem.

Having dealt with face fit tests for a number of years i would recommend something that doesn't go around the face to seal, more like the air fed units that don't rely on that seal.

Such as the trend or the 3m airstream units.

Seems to me that manufactures don't think about those that wear glasses

it's a done deal on the shield so to late for that. I could not afford the air shields, bit out of my wallet range.
I fully sympathise people that wear glasses full time, my wife does. She can't get out of bed without them, yes she wears contact lens but with no glasses or contact lens's she cant see anything just shapes. I tried contacts myself once, felt like a couple of bricks in my eyes, i walked down the road tears streaming down my cheeks. How people wear them i don't know.

3M do have glasses that locate in the head shield but at £200.00 again to much for me. I only need +2 type reading glasses, so Pince Nez it is.
