Hello Chris and welcome along.

It’s not an addiction , they’re harmful ,

it’s more therapy really ie expensive and fun and the rabbit holes it leads to go on for a long way. I forgot to add it CAN be very cheap you just need to leave carefully marked catalogues and references about at birthdays, anniversaries, etc, etc. The downside is she then knows what it costs so carefully consider that angle too !!
