Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Ed, I've had a lathe for about two years now but only really had the time to start playing with it properly since about Christmas time!

I have tried to turn a couple of pens before from a couple of slimline kits my better half bought for me when I first got my lathe. My dad has been on at me for ages to try a few more and treated me to an Easter present of a purchase from Timberbits.

So after much research (I like to read up a lot before I start anything) on tips and methods I came up with these two, one for my dad's birthday and one for my aunt's birthday.

Both walnut (I think!)

Thanks for all your helpful tips so far and I look forward to being a member of the pen turning community.

Kind regards,

Ed
