The longer I contribute to this forum the more names of towns and cities all over Australia I find certainly named after those in the UK Ray.

Welcome to the investment of a lifetime. Your mind will react to all things pen related from now on in a very pleasant way. New beginnings and all that. Have fun I really do.

Peter.

Welcome and best wishes from way down in the south of the UK. I'm a recent newcomer here and can assure you that this is 'the' best place for tips, advice and everything to do with pens that you could hope for. And .. it does tend to become a little bit addictive ! Have fun.

Many thanks for the warm welcome, I got interested in turning, while under treatment for lung cancer, as a way to keep me busy and my mind occupied, luckily my treatment is looking like it has been succesfull, and I want to get my skill level up to the point where I can make cancer awareness pens and donate them my local Maggies centre in Dundee to raise funds for cancer research( mcmillans) will take me a while to get the quality just right but after the help they have given me its about time to give something back, plus making something of good quality is extremely satisfying, and I am sure this is the place to pick up the info to get this aim on the road to success
Cheers

Come on in and enjoy the party as well as the banter. Plenty of very knowledgeable people on here and as they say no question is silly if you don't know
