Tony share your excitement will be into one myself tomorrow same horse different Jockey made the Pen Rest yesterday.I am not familiar with Beech it looks great with that grain fleck in it is it a hardwood not botanically but working with ?

It's steamed Beech Peter very easy to work with I use it a lot for segmented bowls and is the best wood for end grain chopping boards
