Hi everyone. My name is Will and I have been turning pens now for a few years. Since this time I have encouraged others who wish to learn to join me in my workshop to create their first pens. I love teaching others and find it most rewarding to see their final result. Some may know me from my YouTube channel, WHCreations, which I started about 2 years ago. I dont have a huge following but just love showing people how I work and the things I end up creating. I have been woodworking from a young age, so know my way around a tool or two! ;)
I am a huge lover of antique vintage tools such as planes. I have a few of my grandfathers planes which take pride of place in my workshop, and others which I have amassed over the years.
If anyone is local to me and would like any help in woodworking or turning then please feel free to contact me for advice, be that at my workshop or over message.
I look forward to getting to know you all and to see your work.
Thank you to Phil for letting me know this website exists.
Please bare with me as I have never been a part of a "forum" before so may take some time to get used to the format.

Welcome William. Like you I enjoy using older tools and get a special feeling using some of my Grandfather and even Great Grandfathers tools. It is amazing really that if all the tools made in Sheffield over the years were looked after we probably would never need to make any more and would be safe from a lot of the rebadged rubbish that seems to be on sale these days. At least we still seem to be able to get decent wood turning tools. Thank goodness.
Enjoy the forum

Totally agree Allen. I do a bit of restoration too, so get a fair few tools through my doors. The steels you can get these days no way lives up to what they used to use. A vintage tool is for life... not to be used as a can opener :funny:
