Love it :)

May I ask how you managed to get hold of wood from that very special ship? I'd kill for a piece if HMS Victory for myself, and that has nothing to do with pen turning.

I recently saw a small yacht end up on the rocks. I tried to get, but was unable, a beautiful wooden hatch that floated past. If I'd got it I'd have made a pen and tracked down the boat owner and give it to him/her.

It got me thinking about making pens from wood with a nautical history and I put out the word to friends to keep an eye open for interesting wood for me.
