Turned from a piece of Chestnut burr and finished with Danish oil and a coat of woodwax22. This has been the first piece after my hospital visit and boy did it feel good to be back turning.
Size is 4 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" wide

Thank you guys. I was hoping it would turn out larger but due to the structure of the burr I think it would have just fallen apart, but never mind I have some even larger pieces to play with

That's a lovely piece Derek, glad you are back home in the shed,:thumbs::thumbs: I have another week or so before the quacks will let me head home.:sob:

Thank you Mark. Hope that you are able to get back in the workshop soon after getting home. Is the Hospital far from where you live
