I don't know what timber this is I pulled it out of a woodpile.

It stands 10" high and 3" at its widest

Wall thickness is about 3/16"

Hollowed out using my Lyle Jamieson Hollowing Rig

Very nice :banana: no idea on the wood but it looks good. Never tried anything like that yet, always looks a bit intimidating hollowing out to that depth, I struggle with anything over a few inches :whistling:

Thats lovely Vic. It looks a bit like the Poplar that Neil gave me, almost translucent.

Are you sure it is not from the Home of wood Vic. I like the shape just the right width for the hight. A nice piece of wood from the pile go dig out some more:up:

A very nicely shaped Vase Vic, the wood looks like Burr Elm to me ... :thinks:
