Have a look at the Simon Hope ones ?

Carbide tools

The new 6mm one would be the one to go for 69 quid.

I have the 8mm straight and it's excellent, Doug swears by it as well and to be fair knows a lot more than me. It won;t go as deep as you want thought IMHO, so the 6mm would be the one.

It depends what you intend to make I now have the robert sorby and to be honest I find it just as good as the R/M and a lot cheaper but I have never made deep vases with it

I suffer with Vibration White Finger and arthritis in my hands and have tried numerous amounts of hollowing tools all to no avail.

I virtually gave up the idea of hollow forms until I looked at the Lyle Jamieson Hollowing System.

12-14 inches deep is no problem with this tool. Expensive but a pleasure to use.

Probably to late now but another vote for the Hope 6mm carbide. I got one last weekend at Daventry. Still practicing but it is looking good.
