i have a large piece of she-oak and will be happy if it looks like that
i may steal a bit off it

No nothing like it Steve, She Oak is an Australian Bush Flower. Holly Oak often called Holm Oak or Tiger Oak is an evergreen Oak tree indigenous to the UK. Well it is unless Neil tells me different :thumbs:

Having looked on Google though the She Oak wood in some pictures does look the same but totally different in others so it would be interesting to find out.

i had to go take a look
mine is nothing like that..why didnt i check first
the stuff i have is sort of "rippled" or "quilted" whatever way u describe it
quite orang in colour

Paul neatly cut blank mate beautiful grain Sheoak has needles like pine needles Holm Oak grows out west in Australia as well there is Bull Oak not necessarily a true oak but common names.
