Evening all,

With the advice from before, I thought you all might appreciate the next iteration of my partner's Holly and Ivy pen.

Overall it's an improvement from the previous effort - tighter lines between the kit and the wood, much smaller glue line at the end of the segments, no grey dust from the bushes. This was also used to get a more visual understanding of the narrowness of the narrow kerf blade I just got.

Botanical kit with holly and 'green ice' acrylic segments, CA (still nervous about the softness of the wood) + Renaissance Wax for the finish.

Now that's an interesting combination, I really like the colours and it matches well with the plating, keep them coming...
As to Holly being soft, you can turn it down to' almost size' and then use thin CA as a stabaliser, when you turn to size you will remove the surface coat but have whatever has soaked in to harden the blank

Good tip - thanks. The pic doesn't do the green justice. It's an emerald/white mix called Kirinite Green Ice that, if I were to do this a third time, I'd make the segments a touch thicker to better show it off.
