Holy Olive wood Tempest

In a spalted beech wood box.

Made this pen last year but never got around to making a box for it, so here it is...

Just when I think you have reached the zenith up you come with another stunner like these,I say these because the pen is a pearler and the box a knockout. That piece of Ideal Olive Wood finished so well,love it mate. Waiting on a parcel from the west bank where a mate of mine works every day with the Ancient Olive Trees as a volunteer in a Kibbut for the lsst six years. I confess to wanting but not able to allocte time to turning for a while now but I do hope totrot some out soonish,thanks for your example it really means so much to me,kindest regards mate.

That is lovely, how hard a wood is olive wood?
