A nice piece of Horse Chestnut Burr given to me by Woody, put on a Gold plated Slimline and finished with friction polish and waxed ..

That's really kind of you Doug, I will wait and see if the burr I have got will produce anything worthwhile, but I must get it to the bandsaw and cut it up. I was going to make a small bowl from it, but it is quite small and most would be turned away, so I will try pen blanks on this one. Thank you for your very kind offer.

nicely done Jim, out of curiosity is horse chestnut not a very popular wood to turn ? as i don't seem to see very many items turned from it !

I am curious why you always curve the top of the bottom barrel in where it meets the centre band?

Nothing more than Cosmetic Mark ... :winking:

If you look in the forums of Bowls KW, you will find a few bowls made by Woody using this wood my friend .. :thumbs:
