Just me having a RANT :vangry:

As some of you know, I have muscle issues with my left hand from a VERY old injury that needs an operation to put right.
My doctor made an appointment with a consultant in March 2023 - got the appointment for October 2023 that was then cancelled 4 times and rearranged...

Finally got to see them in June 2024 (Over a year later)

Said I needed an operation to correct the issues (that were not done during the original operation in 2012)

Got the appointment through for November 2024 - that was cancelled
Got an appointment for January 2025 - that was cancelled
Got an appointment for April 2025 - JUST been informed that has been cancelled
Told by the Surgeon's receptionist that if I would like to go private I could have it done in 2 weeks :noway1:
£4,700.00 or I can wait for ANOTHER Appointment :scratch_head:

All I can say is WTF :noman:

Feeling very peeved

Think yourself lucky Colin, I in total waited 61/2 years to see a specialist about my eyes with glaucoma. Thank God for my high street Specsavers. They found it out in the first place and sent in four letters to the hospital. Even with my age and two class 1 DVLA eye tests, nothing until last month.
Now, on 6 month eye tests, when I get the appointments through!

I’m an army veteran with combat related injuries. They did what I call “first aid” surgery on me. I’m still waiting for spinal surgery, knee surgery and hand surgery. I think I’ll end up getting booked in by St Peter before I get booked into an NHS hospital for operation. I know how you feel!
