Hi all, same customer I just wanted to give them a choice, pens seldom look like the unturned blanks....so choice is always good:thumbs:IMG_20200623_172656.jpg

You’re nailing these hybrids. Very smart and good colour choice again.

May I ask the 64,000,000 question - how are you finishing them? Do you treat them just like resin blanks?

Cheers

Hi Ash,
The first blank was stabalised wood( with clear resin in) so buffed and polished the whole blank....this one was not... so down through the grits, cleaning with a quick wipe of meths between grits( almost dry cloth). Then I used melamine finish, I left for 24hrs and buffed with polish.....I know you don't need the last stage but I prefer to.....and it makes me happy:face::face:

Thanks Mark, that’s kind of you to share.

I’ve had a hybrid blank for a while, just sitting there grinning at me because it knows I don’t know what to do with it!

Cheers
Ash
