Those are absolutely stunning Andy, very well done indeed. Do you buy or make the moulds?:drool::drool::thumbs:

Have you been watching the tiny Turner

unfortunately not, the inspiration for these comes from George Watkins, he does some truly amazing work

I love the small helmets he makes... stunning....
He also used to be the go to guy for Hybrid blanks, I bought loads from him.....think I still have a few tbh:thinks:

They look amazing. What size are they? it is hard to tell from the photos. Did you use a jig?

I used to enjoy watching George Watkins videos but I've not seen any released recently.

Those helmets he makes are pretty special Mark, I think I have a box blank from George somewhere, must dig it out and turn it

Thanks Paul, they are just under 4 inch in diameter and I use the Paul Howard jig for turning and a set of rubber chuckys fpr turning the stubs off and sanding
Not sure George does much on the youtube front now, but sometimes get a few bits on instagram

That 3rd one with the pine cones is brilliant, I've turned a few of George's blanks at the beginning but sadly his prices became too much for me. In fact just recently I have realised how much pen turning and the kits and blanks have evolved since 2004 when I started turning. (and how prices have escalated)
