Hello all,

Now that I don't have to wear artic survival kit in the workshop lately, I though I would try something I have never tried before.

I wonder which way up these pictures will show.

Took a few days doing the hollowing. I think the wood is Hornbeam. It was very white in places, widely different densities and turned like soap.
I quite like this hollowing lark; not so sure about my shoulders though.......:funny:

Well, 3 on their side and one out of focus.......ah! well....:rolling::rolling::funny: These where taken with an ipad...I have sorted out how to use the 'phone though, Enough of sticking to the wall already....:funny:

Cheers
Frederick

Hi Frederick,
It certainly looks like English hornbeam. I have some and it's very slight and subtle in it's colour and tone of the wood. Very nice!
