hi there.
I tried searching but didn't find a thread like this.

I have been watching you tube videos And reading this forum on pen turning

I am amazed buy the creativity

I have often come up with ideas of things to try but never find the time to get around to them

I am thinking that a thread like this would be great for the community . someone can read the idea and try it and report back or spark a better idea
a few

make a pen tube from solid bar and so that the wall thickness is enough to texture the tube then cast the tube to make it smooth again
dimples drilled into the thicker tube could make a golf ball effect.

thread the tube could look good, maybe with a few nuts threaded on

engrave the tube before casting resin


has anyone tried making an off centre pen

I made this thread so that I can dump ideas that would be forgot before they were tried
anyone got any ideas to contribute

First blush looking at the candlestick and by association turning an off centre pen I had visions of the impossible hole up the centre and fitting a of a biro love the unusual myself as does my wife
This is one side representing my wifes hobbies on our address labels only free of the background and the pen my hobby. Both individual and different.
