Pair of Omegas'..JPG

Hi, Guys,

Strewth, I have a few weeks away from the forum to do some metal detecting and all hell breaks loose! We seem to have gained a load of new members (welcome to you all!) plus I've missed the Omega competition. But, seeing the great entries I would've been out of the running anyway. Having said that here's a pair of Omegas' in acrylic (Timberbits PB005), both finished with grits to 600 and four coats of friction polish.

Dan is to be congratulated for coming up with this design - they look good, parts fit together well, and as an added bonus the rollerball and fountain pens have interchangeable components, which is very useful.

Regards to all,

Bob.

Form, Fit and Finish look good.
Tough to see much color in the blanks.
Need a lighter background, WB correction and increased EV.
Don't care for this component set, nib section looks out of proportion compared to the cap section.

LOL, guys! Thanks very much for the comments and nice words!

And this is why I go metal detecting - it's a Queen Elizabeth 1st silver 3d dated 1569 (therefore minted 19 years before the Spanish Armada!) Not in great condition but it's history, right?
