I started with a blank made of purple heart. With a template I cut it on the scroll saw. Glued the beech veneer in place and clamped. Did it again the opposite way the day after. Turned the blank on its side and did the same again. 4 days to get the blank ready for turning. I like the contrast of colours and the flowing lines.

Love the segmented pen and I am not going to knock your photography skills as members have already said on many occasions that my pics are crap (I agree with them mind). I personally think the photo is fine but as I said I am utter sh*t at showing off what I turn.

However, I have a Fairy Godfather on this wonderful site who is about to help transform me into a budding Super Snapper !
