Yes, I am definitely giving up as I have now had too much.

I have come to the conclusion that gardening is overrated. I spent half of today planting seeds in pots to a total of 84 individual pots. I could have spent that time in the shed. I did, however, persuade the wife to mow the back garden.

And I still have to dig the veg patch yet another day out of the shed.

You need to speak to Vic Perrin I think Derek. He's being rebuilt in hospital at the moment so you'll have to wait a while, but he'd have his Mrs digging the veg patch as well as mowing the grass. You've missed a trick there I think my friend.

Gardening is not good for your health. But I do need to do it for the homegrown taste of the veggies.

What give up turning no way Peter. Seeing your post I went to the garden centre this morning for a bag of compost to plant the seeds and came back with an orchid for the wife and a cookbook

I don't want to go to those extremes just to get the wife to do all the gardening I have enough problems with the old ticker.:funny::funny::funny:

Well now that you have had so much practice, and I have been banned from lifting any weight for the next 2 months, I don't suppose you could come and do my garden?

Ah the secret is that the wood on the other side of the road is mine as well and its all Oak and chestnut!! and the neighbour on the left has 2 walnut plantations so she gives me the old trees!! and those nice lined up fields on the other side of the wood are vineyards so not far to go for a bottle!!
