Instead of a mallet I made a little picture frame for SWMBO for a little picture I picked up in the summer.
The wood is Walnut which after planing up I rebated it on the spindle, mitred it on the chopsaw & reinforced the corners with 4mm dominos. I also cut a slot with the domino for a prop to fit in so the frame can be stood up.

Making the frame gave me the opportunity to use a new Bessey clamp I picked up at Harrogate, I was really impressed with how well it work & how easy it was to use, a great addition to the workshop

The finished picture was well received with brownie points definitely accrued which is possibly more than Vic has managed :funny:

Finishing was a quick job this morning Mark just a coat of cellulose sanding sealer then wax polish applied with webrax & buffed with a cloth a couple of times.

Bessey Magpie!:funny:

Are you sure you didn't have to make a picture frame to justify another clamp purchase?:whistling:

Very nicely done Doug!

Wish I'd spotted those at Harrogate, I make quite a few frames and that looks a very nice clamp.

Great frame Doug but you could have gone half way and put a pic of a mallet in it :rolling:
