Some of you may already know about the build of this train.

I have been working on this for a little while now, it was a small request from the great grandson.

It is 22" long 6 1/2" wide and 10 1/2" tall and strong enough for a small child to sit on the cab. The number is his dad's banger racing number and it is called Toby the Tank engine as he wanted it for his 1 year old brother of the same name. As can be seen it is based on Thomas the tank engine but with differences.

All the round parts are turned on the lathe.

One of the best presents I ever had as a child was a fort that my dad made. It was better than anything that was ever bought and I recon that this will be in the family and loved for many generations to come like my fort. He is one lucky child and you must be one of the best loved great granddads ever

Thank you all for the great comments. Just to make it worth while I think the expression on his face tells the story better they collected it about an hour ago.
