It’s a good job that lathe is secure otherwise it could get sucked right up.

Insecurity I do not suffer from I always use extra,bolts,nuts,fasteners ,the thought of a lathe unmounted beggars belief. And yes the lathe is secure variable speed controlled using a three phase motor from single phase converter with the drive motor on the bench level.Always purchase what is called a bare lathe has made great sense and opportunity for me.
