The ink syphon or pumps that come with the fountain pens. What's the correct way to fill them? It seemed logical to me that you'd remove it from the pen and dip it into the ink to fill but I've had suggestions from people I've shown them to that you leave it in the pen and dip the nib in the ink to fill. That seems a really messy way to do it. :nooidea:

If you keep removing them they will become loose over time and that could cause problems.

Don't fill it, let the customer do it.
If they break it it's their own stupid fault, sell em another pen init?
My own pens are filled via the nib or I use cartridges.

I must admit I would never have thought of taking the mechanism out to fill it. But then I have been using fountain pens since they had little levers on the side and rubber tubes inside that split and you got ink all over your school trousers and a good thrashing from your mam.

I can feel the slap of the slipper on my leg just looking at it. :funny:

You must have come from a well to do family Walter, what's a slipper:whistling: Mine used whatever came to hand, usually something like a broom.
Never came to any harm as the threat was usually enough:funny:
