The ink syphon or pumps that come with the fountain pens. What's the correct way to fill them? It seemed logical to me that you'd remove it from the pen and dip it into the ink to fill but I've had suggestions from people I've shown them to that you leave it in the pen and dip the nib in the ink to fill. That seems a really messy way to do it.
